To become a certified EBO vendor, the City of Atlanta requires the completion and submission of specific forms and supporting documentation. Below are some of the common forms, along with brief descriptions. Because these processes are implemented through the City of Atlanta, any questions pertaining to them should be directed to the issuing agency.
This page provides an overview of the certification process that vendors must follow to obtain EBO certification. For additional details and instructions regarding the submission process, please consult the City of Atlanta’s official website.
The City of Atlanta certifies minority owned or female owned businesses. These businesses must be for project businesses and perform a commercially useful function. These businesses must be owned and controlled by one or more minority or female individuals:
African American | Hispanic American | Native American | Asian Pacific American | Female
To obtain certification for your business with the City of Atlanta, you are first required to obtain a City of Atlanta Supplier Identification Number (Vendor ID). This process is complimentary, automated, and can be completed online. Please visit the Atlanta Suppliers website to apply for your Supplier ID. Once you have received your supplier ID, you may proceed to complete the certification application to achieve EBO/SBO certification.
The OCC Online Certification Application (OLA) is the method to submit applications. To apply or renew EBO/SBO certifications, please visit the Supplier Diversity Management System (SDMS) site. Applicants are encouraged to take the available training session for the OLA through the Supplier Diversity Management System site.
If your company is currently certified under the City of Atlanta’s Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) program and you would like to have your company evaluated for Small Business Opportunity (SBO) certification, please contact the Office of Contract Compliance Certification Department for more information and direction on the process.
