Tailgaters who once downed beers and hamburgers in empty parking lots before Atlanta Falcons games will soon have the option of cozier, perhaps more entertaining confines.

Construction has started on Cosm in Centennial Yards, a $5 billion redevelopment of Atlanta’s railroad gulch next to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena Downtown. Brian McGowan, Centennial Yards Co. president, has called Cosm a “sports bar on steroids.”
